Marcelo Martínez

Founder partner and CEO of Nostromo Defensa SA. Responsible for conceptual design of Yarará, Caburé and Yaguá. 52 years old, one daughter. Aeronautical Engineer UNC (Córdoba National Unversity). 10 years' experience working inside the German airspace industry. Member of the Condor 2 project engineering team (the biggest Argentine airspace project). Since 1988, he has been a consultant for aeronautical and defense companies in Europe and USA. His contributions have been recognized in military technology institutions of Argentine and other countries. He has worked and has written papers in the Defense field, and he has also given conferences at China and USA. He has produced pioneering works in military and security fields in the South America region. He is responsible for the conceptual design of the first UAV produced at Latin America.

Wolffgang Backhaus

Founder partner and President of Nostromo Defensa SA. Responsible for the conceptual design and production techniques for composite materials structure of Yarará, Caburé and Yaguá UAVs. 41 years old, two sons. Educated in the USA. Since 1987, he has participated in pioneering experiences in the production field using composite materials in Argentina. He has developed methods and production techniques for CNG pressure vessels, type 2 and 3 certified under ISO 11439, ECE R 110 and NGV2. He was also a member of engineering team that developed methods and production procedures for the only full composite light airplane produced in South America (Azor VLA).

César Peralta

Responsible for the development and integration of ground control station (GCS) for Nostromo's UAVs. He is also responsible for the development of control software, autopilot and mission planning software. 34 years old, one son. Aeronautical engineering, UNC. High complexity software development specialist. He joined Nostromo in 2000.

Germán Romano

Responsible for structural calculus of Yarará UAV. Structural calculus specialist using finite elements technique. Design specialist using CATIA tool for all Nostromo UAVs. 29 years old. Aeronautical engineering IUA, first of Class 2002 at the Engineering School, Instituto Universitario Aeronáutico. He joined Nostromo in March 2003.

Marcelo Carranza

Test pilot and flight instructor of Yarará UAV. Member of Nostromo's production team. 44 years old, three sons. 30 years' experience developing and producing radio controlled airplanes. He joined Nostromo in August 2005.

Nicolás Ferreccio

Responsable for the design and integration of electrical and electronic systems for Yarará and Caburé UAVs. 5 years' experience as maintenance manager for weapons and electronics of Douglas A4 AR attack weapon system at Argentine Air Force. He joined Nostromo in June 2006.

Martín Backhaus

Responsible for the organizational development of Nostromo. 46 years old, three sons. 25 years' experience in developing technology-based companies (composite materials, aeronautics, telecommunications). He joined Nostromo in August 2007.
